Day 44: I have gratitude for the reminder to look forward to my future adventures with Marnie. While eating lunch today, I saw an older married couple enjoying lunch while planning the next leg of their driving journey. I don’t know where they were going or even their names, but it made me thankful for our past adventures and excited to think about our future journeys together. Watching this couple interact, it was clear that they knew each other better than anyone else, that they loved being together, and that they had the wisdom to stop and enjoy even the most simple actions like eating lunch at a chain restaurant. What a lesson for us, no doubt.
